Golf trumps the President’s Word

Trump Gold Sarah Huckabee Sanders

Trump left for a seventeen day “working vacation” on Friday.

Last June, in a boisterous manner unique to Donald Trump, he declared:

“I would rarely leave the White House because there’s so much work to be done … I would not be a president who took vacations. I would not be a president that takes time off.”

As of August 1, 2017 (193 days in office), President Trump has golfed a total of twenty-one times. At this same point during Barack Obama’s presidency, he had golfed eleven times. Why make the comparison between the two?

Because of Trump’s above comment, but more because of his twenty-five plus Tweets criticizing Obama’s golf outings. Here are few favorites.

These Tweets help prove the case that Trump is your average hypocritical politician. He will say anything to get votes. His ego is hard to match, and perhaps that is why it seems he will say and do whatever he wants.

Where is the outrage for our current President’s apparent ‘work ethic’ and competence? Where is the outrage from his supporters given the fact that he has not been able to deliver on any of his major promises (immigration ban, border wall, appointing the best people, etc.).

At the 2016 Republican National Convention, President Trump painted a dark image of America and concluded,

“I alone can fix it.”

Where is the “fix” President Trump promised?

Do not blame Congress. Do not blame Obama. Do not blame the media. Do not blame anyone except the man who vowed to be our voice and fix our country’s problems alone.
